Only Six Sanitary Ceramics Factories Left In France

In France, sanitary ceramics factories have been few and far between, and small scale, and are operated by multinational bathroom companies or French small and medium-sized enterprises.

December 9, by the French medium-sized companies Kramer set up a new subsidiary Jurassienne de Céramique Française officially inaugurated, the company for the takeover of the former Kohler Jacob Delafon factory to retain the few sanitary ceramics factories in France.

In fact, there are only six factories left in operation in France. Scattered in Limoges, Bischwiller, Dampari, Valence d’Agen and Desvres near the border areas, belonging to different strengths of industrial groups. They are owned by Villeroy & Boch, Duravit, La Jurassienne de Céramique Française, France Design Céramique, Porcelaine de Paris, and Geberit, respectively.

Although all these factories are small and medium-sized, targeting the French market or other European markets, with an annual production of between 1.2 kaj 1.5 million pieces, each providing 300-400 laborpostenoj, they also retain the few professionals and valuable know-how for the production of sinks, shower trays, toilets, basins and other sanitary ceramics in de-industrialized France.
