The New Factory, A $300 Million Investment By Kohler, Will Open In 2023. Neighboring TSMC’s New Factory

The opening of the new plant will reportedly bring more than 400 new full-time jobs to the local market while serving as Kohler’s second Vikrell manufacturing facility. It will create synergies with its existing plant in Huntsville, Ala. in the southeastern United States.

Arizona is bordered by New Mexico to the east and the United Mexican States to the south. It has low precipitation and is the fourth driest state in the United States. It is noteworthy that the state has a well-developed semiconductor industry chain that has been in development for over 40 annos. The new Kohler plant is adjacent to TSMC’s new $10 billion chip factory in the U.S., which is also a key planning project in the region. It is reported that in the next 5-15 annos, TSMC will build a total of six 5nm chip plants in Arizona, USA.
