As a result of a comprehensive transformation and efficiency program, Villeroy & Boch expects to lay off 200 employees worldwide. The company employs around 7,500 nies madwar id-dinja, of whom around 1,900 work in Saar, il-Ġermanja, and half of the redundancies will take place in Germany, most of them in Mettlach, il-Ġermanja.
