Spanish bathroom brand Acquabella has launched Europe’s largest shower tray production line, according to Spanish media reports. The new production line covers an area of 7,500 square metres and is dedicated to the manufacture of shower trays made of artificial stone.

With this expansion, Acquabella’s two lines have increased their production capacity by 150% de 240,000 para 600,000 shower trays per year.
The new lines are based on an RFID management system with powerful technical features that streamline the production process and allow for full order tracking throughout the production process. 2019 consolidated revenues for the company amount to €28.27 million and 187 funcionários.
Previously Kitchen News published “Exportar | Analysis of the main competitors in the European shower tray market, with few manufacturers and many brands”. In the European market, there are currently four main factories producing, Marmite, Acquabella, McBath e F&D. The largest of these is Marmite in Poland.
In just ten years, bases de duche em materiais sintéticos como acrílico e resina ocuparam a maior parte do mercado francês, with the market for shower trays made of ceramic and cast iron shrinking. Due to the lack of sanitary ceramics and stone factories in France, os produtos feitos de materiais relacionados estão concentrados na região do sul da Europa.
