FAQ about faucet

1. Leaky faucet

(1) Poor water quality and poor water quality cause debris in the spool.

(2) Scratch valve core seal ceramic piece in the process of use, due to wear and scratch of hard material, it can not be sealed, and leaking.

(3) Plumbing connecting the inlet hose to the faucet body leaks, mainly due to improper installation.

2. Rusty faucet

Car wax can prevent the galvanized surface treatment part from rusting. As long as it is related to water, the bright silver part is mostly treated with nickel-chromium plating. The main purpose of electroplating is to decorate and prevent rust, but it does not mean that it will never rust. There are many small holes (pinholes) on the plating layer that are invisible to the naked eye. The frequently contacted parts like taps are prone to rust, because the oils in the hands will slowly touch the entire faucet and cover the holes to corrode the material on the bottom of the faucet plating. Therefore, the electroplating layer of the faucet can be protected by wiping the electroplating parts with wax every month.

3. Less water in the faucet

When the bathtub faucet showers water, the water outlet nozzle simultaneously outputs water because the switching of the bathtub faucet is controlled by the water pressure. If the inlet water pressure is too low (the required water pressure is not reached), the faucet switching valve will be caused It is lifted up, but it is not completely sealed and the water outlet of the faucet is still water, so the above phenomenon will occur. The solution is to increase the water pressure, for example by adding a booster pump in the pipeline.

4. The cold water position of the faucet is out of hot water.

Why do hot water come out when you put your hand in the “cold water” position? The main reason for the use of gas-fired water heater users is that the main reason is that the water pressure is high, although the water from the “hot water” pipe is reduced, but the pressure is still enough to open the water heater pressure valve, so that the water heater ignition, work, so the handle is ” Cold water position also has hot water.

5.How to clean the faucet ?

A damp cloth and mild liquid dishwashing soap may be used for a limited amount of time, followed by rinsing with water and drying with a soft cloth. Most common household cleaners (including mild abrasives) can be used, when used in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions for use. However, all cleaners should be rinsed off thoroughly with water immediately after cleaning your faucet. Avoid using any harsh cleansers (e.g., lime scale removers) or pads/sponges that are unsafe for polished metallic surfaces. Most green, fibrous pads/-sponges contain microscopic mineral particles that can scratch a faucet’s finish. Cleaner manufacturers may change their formulations at any time; therefore, VIGA does not recommend any specific cleaner.

6.What could be the cause of leaky connections?

In order to compensate for differences in dimension, before installing the tap please ensure that the S connections have been fitted free of tension and that the specified installation dimensions have been complied with. It is absolutely essential that you use the original seals; damaged seals must be replaced where necessary.

7.How to maintain a white or black faucet brought from VIGA ?
