Installation methods of various hot and cold water faucets

Installing hot and cold water faucets is the choice of many friends’ home decoration, so we don’t have to worry about washing our face with cold water and gargle in winter, then how to install the hot and cold water faucets?

1. Installation of single hole basin faucet

When buying a single-handle basin faucet, you should pay attention to the diameter of the water outlet. At present, most of the water in the market is filled with hard pipes. Pay attention to the reserved water pipe height, which is about 30 minutes from the basin. During installation, a special angle valve must be selected. The angle valve must be fixed to the hot and cold water pipes from the wall. If there is a distance between the angle valve and the water pipe on the faucet, you need to purchase a special pipe to extend the link. Do not use other water pipes to connect, otherwise it will leak or fall off due to high water pressure. If the inlet pipe is too long to exceed the outlet pipe, just cut off the excess.

Note: Do not hard bend the water pipe to 90 degrees or more than 90 degrees. When installing the basin to drain, please do not forget to purchase the small connector of the faucet (short-circuit the faucet). The water pipes buried in the wall must be flushed before installation.

2. Installation of shower and bathtub faucet

If you buy a shower, bathtub, or wall-mounted faucet, you need to choose a suitable height to bury the water pipe. The distance between the hot and cold water pipes is about 20 or more. Flush the water pipe before installation to avoid damage to the faucet due to hard water.

Concealed shower and bathtub faucets: After purchasing a concealed faucet, the valve core of the faucet is generally pre-buried in the wall. Consider the thickness of the bathroom wall before embedding. If the wall is too thin, the valve core will not be embedded. Do not remove the plastic protective cover of the valve core easily during pre-embedding, so as to avoid damage to the valve core by cement and other chores. In addition, you should pay attention to the up and down, left and right directions of the spool when embedding the spool to avoid the wrong spool.

3. Installation of thermostatic faucet

Before installing the thermostatic faucet, first check which side of the water pipe is cold water and which side is hot water, especially if the hot and cold water pipes are connected incorrectly, so as not to affect the future work of the faucet. Gas and solar water heaters cannot use thermostatic faucets, mainly because the water pressure is too low. The installation of thermostatic faucet also requires the installation of hot and cold water filters.

4. Installation of single-hole kitchen faucet

Because the kitchen faucet is used frequently, and it is easy to loosen when moved around, all requirements for stability are taken for granted, so the lock nut must be tightened. At present, there are a number of spiral pipes whose leading heads are enlarged nuts in the building materials market, which have excellent stability. Obvious effects will become the trend of the generation.
