Businesses on the island expressed their desire to conform to European and American standards. Last year they began to revise the new standard. In the future, the lead content of faucets should be less than five ppb, and the lead content of faucet materials should also be limited to less than 0.25%.

It is understood that lead pipes are replaced by alloy pipes, not stainless steel pipes. The main reason is that alloy pipes are more plastic and cheaper than stainless steel pipes, but they still contain lead, which is only tolerated by safety standards.
